Gotemba Premium Outlets is the largest outlet mall in Japan. It sits along the route from Tokyo to Hakone and Mount Fuji. About 90 minutes from Tokyo, it has around 210 stores, offers tax refunds, and includes a play zone for children.
Access: There is a free shuttle bus from Gotemba Station, or you can take a bus from Shinagawa Station, Shinjuku Station, or Tokyo Station.

2. LakeTown Outlet Koshigaya
LakeTown Outlet Koshigaya is an Aeon outlet mall located in Saitama Prefecture, next to a lake with a relaxing atmosphere. It is the largest eco-focused mall in Japan, with brands from Japan and abroad, in a laid-back shopping setting. It is easy to reach, less than an hour from Tokyo Station.

3. Shisui Premium Outlets
Shisui Premium Outlet is the newest outlet mall in the Kanto region, opened in 2013. It has the same owner as Gotemba Premium Outlets, so it has a similar range of stores. It is located near Narita Airport, making it a great place to spend time before a flight. The outlet has about 180 stores of Japanese and international brands, and often hands out coupons and discounts to travelers near the airport.
Access: There is a shuttle bus directly from the airport to the outlet, or you can take a 20-minute bus ride from JR Shisui Station.

4. and 5. Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu and Iruma
Mitsui Outlet Park is another outlet mall company with more than ten locations across Japan. Four of them are near Tokyo, and two of those four are large outlets with more than 200 stores each: Kisarazu in Chiba Prefecture and Iruma in Saitama Prefecture. Both are about 50 minutes from Tokyo. They carry brands from Japan and abroad, with a wide range of products including fashion, clothing, shoes, bags, sports gear, home decor, garden items, and pet supplies.

6. Grandberry Park
Grandberry Park is easy to reach, only 40 minutes from Shibuya Station. Designed in a California style, it sits right in front of Minami-Machida Station and is divided into four zones. One of the zones is an outlet area with brands such as Old Navy, Gap, Nike, Urban Research, and Adidas.
