Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) is an international airport located on an island in Ise Bay, about 35 kilometers south of Nagoya. It is the fourth-largest international airport in Japan, after Narita Airport, Haneda Airport in Tokyo, and Kansai Airport in Osaka, which is also built on a man-made island.
Chubu Centrair International Airport has a train station called Chubu Centrair International Airport Station, with frequent train services throughout the day. The fastest way into Nagoya takes just 28 minutes, making travel between the airport and the city very convenient.
There is also a smaller airport called Nagoya Airport (Komaki), located in Toyoyama, Aichi Prefecture, just north of Nagoya, which is often confused with Centrair.
This is the easiest and fastest option. Take the Meitetsu train from the airport to Meitetsu Nagoya Station. Several train types run on this line. The fastest is the μSKY Limited Express, an all-reserved-seat service that takes 28 minutes and costs ¥1,250 (¥890 + ¥360). Another option is the Rapid Limited Express, which is cheaper if you don't ride in a reserved car (some cars on this train are reserved, as on the μSKY) and takes about 10 minutes longer than the μSKY.

There are also direct trains from Inuyama and Gifu. Travelers heading to Toyohashi need to change trains at Jingu-mae Station.
Trains running between the airport and Nagoya include the μSKY Limited Express, which offers reserved seating only, and the Limited Express (Tokkyu), which offers both reserved and non-reserved seating.
Express and local trains offer non-reserved seating only and are slower than the limited express trains.
Note: The JR Pass cannot be used on this line.
Two main operators run buses from the airport into Nagoya: Meitetsu Bus (¥1,300) and Nagoya Bus (¥1,500). There are also buses that go directly to other cities such as Shizuoka, Mie, and Kyoto, as well as buses from the airport to various tourist spots around Nagoya, Aichi, and the surrounding areas.
A taxi from the airport into Nagoya costs about ¥16,000.
There is also a high-speed boat service across Ise Bay connecting the airport to the city of Tsu in Mie Prefecture.
Car rental services from well-known Japanese companies, such as Nippon Rent-A-Car, are also available.
