Fujigoko Onsen can be found in ryokan and public bathhouses around the lakes near Mount Fuji, some of which offer clear views of Mount Fuji, especially along the northeastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko

Onsen Near Lake Kawaguchiko

1. Fujiyama Onsen

Note: Fujiyama Onsen has been closed since June 24, 2026, because of earthquake damage. The reopening date is not decided. Please check the official website before you go.

An onsen located near Fuji-Q Highland amusement park. The traditional wooden bathhouse has modern facilities, with both indoor and outdoor baths (separate for men and women). The baths do not face Mount Fuji, but you can see Mount Fuji from the restaurant.

Cost: mornings ¥620, weekdays ¥1,250, weekends ¥1,550
Hours: 7:00-9:00, 10:00-23:00 (last entry 8:30 and 22:00)
Closed: open every day

2. Hotel Mifujien

An old hotel, the only one on the northeastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko with a clear, beautiful view of Mount Fuji. Its baths are open to day visitors during the daytime only.

3. Kaiun no Yu

A bath at the Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko, located on the southern shore of the lake. It is open to day guests who are not staying overnight, but there is no view of Mount Fuji.

Onsen Near Lake Saiko

1. Yurari

A modern-style bathhouse with plenty of facilities, offering both indoor and outdoor baths (separate for men and women) on the 2nd floor with a clear, beautiful view of Mount Fuji. There is also a private bath with a mountain view available for ¥1,700 / 50 minutes.

Onsen Near Lake Yamanakako

1. Benifuji no Yu

Offers the best Mount Fuji views among the baths around Lake Yamanakako. There are several indoor baths, including two large ones, while the outdoor bath is covered and surrounded by trees and a garden.

Hours: 10:00-21:00 (on weekends and public holidays from December to March, open from 6:00), last entry 20:30
Closed: open every day

2. Ishiwari no Yu

A public bathhouse in the same chain as Benifuji no Yu, located on the opposite side of Lake Yamanakako. The bath is similar in style but more compact, and there is no view of Mount Fuji.

Hours: 10:00-21:00 (last entry 20:30)
Closed: every Thursday (except during long holidays)
