Best Time to Visit Osaka: Weather, Temperature, and Seasons You Shouldn't Miss

Osaka is Japan's third-largest and most developed city, making it one of the most popular travel destinations. It offers a wide variety of attractions, including food, shopping, temples, shrines, and Osaka Castle, the city's best-known landmark. This makes Osaka a great destination to visit in any month of the year.

Osaka's climate is similar to Tokyo's, with fairly distinct seasonal differences. However, temperatures are generally 1-3 degrees warmer than Tokyo, and rainfall is slightly lower as well. This gives Osaka pleasant weather year-round except in summer. Rainfall peaks around the middle of the year, along with the highest temperatures and longest daylight hours. As in Tokyo, September carries the highest risk of typhoons.
