Katsuoji Temple, also known as the Daruma Temple or the Temple of Victory, is a spacious temple tucked away at the foot of a mountain in the northern part of Osaka Prefecture. It has a large, beautiful Japanese-style garden to walk through, and it is also a famous spot in Osaka Prefecture for viewing autumn leaves. During the autumn foliage season, the temple also holds a nighttime illumination.
It is said that dedicating a Daruma doll — a name derived from the Sanskrit word "dharma" — at Katsuoji Temple brings success and helps you overcome your own weaknesses. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom here as well.
