Amanohashidate Viewpoint (Amanohashidate Sandbar) is also known by another name many people may recognize: the Bridge to Heaven. The name likely comes from its stunning appearance: a sandbar stretching over 3 kilometers across Miyazu Bay. It takes the form of a winding sandbar that is only 20 meters wide, and the area is home to as many as 8,000 Japanese pine trees, some with uniquely shaped forms.
